A night of song and story in aid of the Mental Health Charity Grow Ireland at the beautiful Triskel Arts Center.
GROW has been active in Cork since 1970 and its mission is:
“TO CREATE NEW HOPE, SENSE OF IDENTITY, MEANING AND VALUED CONNECTIONS BY EMPOWERING PEOPLE TO NURTURE THEIR OWN POSITIVE MENTAL HEALTH AND WELL-BEING, BY SUPPORTING PERSONAL GROWTH AND ESTABLISHING A PATH TO RECOVERY WITH EDUCATION, SELF-TEACHING AND PEER SUPPORT.”
Jimmy Crowley and Eve Telford worked with GROW Ireland to bring us this amazing and diverse night of music and stories. Joining them in taking the stage were the traditional band Sonraí, Storyteller Maria Gillen, folk singer Darby Crowley, musicians Joyce Higgins and Brian Lalor, and closing the night the band Dagenham Yanks.
